These terms apply when you use Stumble. By creating an account or placing an order, you agree to them. We've written them in plain language — if something isn't clear, ask us.
Stumble is a platform that connects customers with Wellington cafés. We let you discover cafés, save favourites, and place pre-orders. We are not a café ourselves — we are the platform connecting you with them.
We may suspend or close accounts that we reasonably believe are being misused, are fake, or are in breach of these terms.
When you place a pre-order through Stumble:
Stumble is not responsible if a café is unexpectedly closed, runs out of an item, or is unable to fulfil your order. In those cases, please contact the café directly or contact us and we will assist with a refund where possible.
Because pre-orders are prepared ahead of your collection, refunds are handled case by case. If you have a genuine issue with an order — the café was closed, the item was unavailable, or there was a significant problem — contact us and we will work to resolve it fairly.
We do not offer refunds for change of mind after an order has been accepted and prepared.
Café information on Stumble — hours, menus, pricing — is provided by the café owners themselves. We review listings before they go live but cannot guarantee that all information is accurate at all times. Hours and menus can change. Always check with the café if you're unsure.
Reviews on Stumble must be honest and based on a real experience. We do not allow:
We reserve the right to remove reviews that breach these guidelines. Under New Zealand's Harmful Digital Communications Act 2015, seriously harmful online content may also be reportable to Netsafe.
The Stumble name, logo, and app design are our property. Café owners retain ownership of their own content — photos, menus, descriptions — that they upload to Stumble. By uploading content, you give us permission to display it on the platform.
To the extent permitted by New Zealand's Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and Fair Trading Act 1986, Stumble's liability for any issue is limited to the value of the order in question. We are not liable for indirect losses, loss of earnings, or consequential damages.
Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under New Zealand consumer law that cannot be excluded.
We may update these terms from time to time. We will update the date at the top of this page when we do. Continued use of Stumble after changes are posted means you accept the updated terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of New Zealand.
